Extrunoga

Extrunoga was founded as a result of our responsible concern for R+D+i and our scientific collaboration with public and private institutions. We develop innovative products for animal feed, whose main characteristic is the combination of the nutritional benefits of extrusion with the possibility of adding other complementary solid and liquid ingredients.

Mission

To develop new ingredients for animal feed based on the extrusion of raw materials, preferably with the addition of liquids in the process, making it easier for feed manufacturers to incorporate them into animal diets.

Vision

Contribute to the development of nutritional alternatives for a new context in animal feed, based on minimizing the use of antimicrobials and sustainability.

At Extrunoga, in our constant search for nutritional alternatives, we develop projects and products based on the extrusion of raw materials such as cereals, oilseeds, legumes and dairy products, individually or in combination, with the possible addition of other ingredients in both liquid and solid form.

The use of extruded dairy products improves the technological management in feed mills since it circumvents the hygroscopic difficulties that arise when using whey powder (low fluidity and formation of lumps).

Upcycling of bio-waste and agri-food by-products as inputs for animal feed (CIRCULAR4FEED)

The project UPCYCLING OF BIOR-WASTE AND AGRI-FOOD BY-PRODUCTS AS INPUTS FOR ANIMAL FEED (CIRCULAR4FEED) is a beneficiary of the call for subsidies to promote the circular economy in the company for the year 2022 of the Ministry for Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge (MITECO) within the framework of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan (PRTR), financed by the European Union – NextGenerationEU.

Energy Management System for Production Line

Internacional de Comercio y Servicios S.L. has received a grant for the development of this project in its Extrunoga factory within the Programme of Energy Efficiency Actions in Industry. This programme has the financial support of INEGA, of the Xunta de Galicia, the National Energy Efficiency Fund and is also co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund of the EU.

In 2015, a consortium led by Norel s.a. was awarded a grant to promote regional collaboration in Research and Development, for an initiative entitled “Nutritional technologies for minimizing the use of antibiotics in pig farming (MIMBIOPOR)” with dossier code ITC-20151163, within the framework the ERDF Interconnect Program and planned for implementation between 2015-2017. The consortium of companies, led by Norel s.a., which included as partners – in addition to Internacional de Comercio y Servicios s.l. – Domca s.a., Nuter Feed s.a.u. and General Ganadera Gallega s.a., received a total aid of 721,440.21 €.
